Ayia Thekla is a small coastal village 10 minutes west of central Ayia Napa — off the main tourist circuit, mostly residential, and almost entirely unknown to first-time visitors. Pagida Seaside sits right on Poseidon Beach here, and it's earned a 4.8/5 rating from over 280 guests for good reason: the setting is genuinely beautiful, the food quality has gone up a level with a new menu in 2026, and the pace is completely different from anything on the Ayia Napa strip.

The aesthetic is blue-and-white Mediterranean — clean Cycladic lines, whitewashed surfaces, open sky and sea. It runs from brunch through early dinner with specialty coffee and cocktails available all day. Think: a coffee and a sea view in the morning, a watermelon and feta salad at noon, a cocktail as the sun drops.

Pagida Seaside is on Poseidon Beach (Posidonis Beach), Sotira — part of the Ayia Thekla coastal area, roughly 8–10 km west of central Ayia Napa.

The venue is built directly on Poseidon Beach — a quieter, calmer stretch of coastline than Nissi or Makronisos. The blue-and-white colour scheme runs through the whole space: sunbeds, cabanas, parasols, and cushioned loungers are arranged across the beach with tables positioned to face the water.

The beach itself is sandy and the water is clear — good for swimming, and calm enough that it's genuinely relaxing rather than high-energy. After your visit it's worth a short walk to the nearby Agia Thekla Chapel on the headland, one of the more photogenic spots on this stretch of coast.

Pagida launched a new menu in June 2026 — already getting strong reviews from guests. The offer runs from morning coffee through lunch and into early evening.

The cabanas go first on weekends — book ahead or arrive early.

Mediterranean beach club, but at a quieter pace than Ayia Napa's main venues. The crowd is a mix of Cypriot locals, couples, and visitors who've heard about it through word of mouth or found it while exploring the coast. It's not a party venue — the music is background, the atmosphere is relaxed, and the transition from morning coffee to afternoon cocktails to early dinner happens naturally.

Best for: Couples, groups wanting a beach day away from the main strip, anyone looking for quality coffee and food in a genuinely beautiful setting, people staying in Ayia Napa who want a different kind of day

Insider tip: The watermelon and feta salad is Pagida's own pick for Summer 2026 — order it. And book a cabana if you're coming on a Saturday; they're the best spots on the beach and they go fast.

The Setting

What to Order

  • Specialty coffee is taken seriously here — freddo espresso, cold brew, and proper flat whites. The morning coffee-and-sea-view combination is the reason many regulars come before 11am.
  • Watermelon & feta salad — Pagida's own social media called this "the favourite salad of Summer 2026." Fresh, vibrant, and exactly right for a beach day. Order it.
  • Prawn dishes — prawns appear in multiple forms on the menu; the shrimp salad is a consistent recommendation in guest reviews
  • Pork dishes — the menu covers meat as well as seafood; the kitchen handles both confidently
  • The full menu is updated for the 2026 season — worth asking staff what's new when you visit
  • Signature summer cocktails made with local Cypriot ingredients — ask the bar what's on for the season
  • Beer and wine — the standard Cypriot beach bar range, served cold
  • Cocktails are available all day, not just evenings

Seating Options

  • Cabanas — shaded private setups; the most popular option and best booked ahead in July–August
  • Sunbeds — standard beach sunbed arrangement on the sand
  • Bean bags — casual seating closer to the water
  • High and low tables — for those who want to eat rather than lounge
  • Cushioned loungers — mid-point between sunbed and dining chair

Vibe

Getting the Most Out of It

  • Arrive early for a cabana — prime spots fill quickly in high season
  • Come for the full day: coffee in the morning → watermelon salad at lunch → swim → cocktails in the late afternoon
  • Sunset timing: the west-facing aspect of Poseidon Beach makes the late afternoon light exceptional
  • Combine with: a walk to Agia Thekla Chapel on the headland, or a stop at Makronisos Beach on the drive back toward Ayia Napa

Practical Info

  • Price range: €8–18 for food, €6–10 for cocktails, €3–5 for coffee
