Ayia Napa Hen & Stag Dos 2026 — Budget From £550 | Complete Planning Guide

Plan an Ayia Napa hen or stag do from £550 per person — villa, boat party, VIP tables, and the exact booking order that prevents last-minute chaos.

Key takeaways

  • Ayia Napa consistently ranks as one of Europe's most popular hen and stag destinations and the reasons are straightforward: it is compact enough that the whole group stays together without logistical chaos, the nightl…
  • This guide is for the organiser — the person doing the actual work so everyone else can just show up and have a good time.
  • The sequencing matters. Some things sell out months ahead; others are fine to arrange on arrival. Getting the order wrong costs real money and causes avoidable stress.

Ayia Napa Hen & Stag Dos 2026 — Budget From £550 | Complete Planning Guide

Book in This Order

12+ Weeks Before

Flights. Get everyone on the same flight or at minimum the same day. A group of ten arriving on different days across two days is a coordination nightmare. Prices rise significantly as dates fill for July and August — book early.

Accommodation. For groups, a villa beats individual hotel rooms in almost every scenario (see below). The best villas — private pool, close to the strip, enough bedrooms — get booked by April for August. If you are going in August, starting your villa search in January is not excessive.

8 Weeks Before

VIP table booking. Castle Club, Circus, and Bedrock all offer VIP packages. These are not walk-in on the night items in July and August. A VIP table at Castle Club on a Saturday headliner night — the Ayia Napa highlight for most groups — needs to be booked weeks in advance. Contact the venues directly or use a reputable Ayia Napa concierge service.

Boat party tickets. The dedicated hen and stag boat parties run alongside the standard boat parties and add an MC, group-specific games, and a more tailored atmosphere. Regular boat parties like the Napa Queen Booze Cruise and Fantasy Boat Party also work well for groups. In July–August, peak departure slots sell out 2–3 weeks ahead. Book now.

Daytime activities. Quad bike safari to Cape Greco, Waterworld Waterpark, sea kayaking. These book up; the good operators for group sizes don't have unlimited availability.

2 Weeks Before

Dinner reservation. Vassos Fish Harbour Restaurant on the waterfront is the best option for a proper group dinner — set next to the old harbour, good Cypriot seafood, large tables available. Book ahead in peak season; walk-in is unreliable for groups of eight or more.

Confirm everything. Compile one document with all bookings, times, meeting points, and contact numbers. Share it with the group. Pin it to your WhatsApp group notes. Do this two weeks before rather than the night before.

On Arrival

Buy supermarket supplies the first evening. Makarios Avenue and the roads toward the Nissi Roundabout have several supermarkets — drinks, mixers, and snacks. Pre-drinking at the villa or apartment across the week saves a significant amount per person compared to spending exclusively at club bars.

Collect wristbands and tickets. Some activity operators require collection from their office or the harbour. Sort this on the first morning rather than scrambling before a departure.

Accommodation: Villa vs Hotel

For a group of eight or more, a villa wins on almost every criterion.

Advantages of a villa:

  • A shared pool and communal area where the group actually spends time together, rather than in separate hotel rooms
  • Space to pre-drink comfortably before heading out
  • A kitchen for breakfasts and late-night snacks, which saves meaningful money across a week
  • Per-person cost is typically lower than equivalent 4-star hotel rooms when divided across the group

Finding a villa: Airbnb, HomeAway, and specialist Ayia Napa villa rental agencies all have good inventory. For August, start searching in January or February. The best villas with private pools and reasonable proximity to the strip (within 10–15 minutes on foot or by taxi) are gone by spring.

If hotel is the preference: For groups who want the hotel structure, Napa Mermaid Hotel and Adams Beach Hotel both have the physical setup — pool areas, bars, and larger spaces — that work well for group stays. Avoid hotels where the rooms are the only communal space; a group of ten in individual hotel rooms fragments quickly.

The Non-Negotiable Experiences

1. Boat party. The single best-value group experience in Ayia Napa. The dedicated hen and stag boat parties run through the main season with MC-led games, themed entertainment, and a swim stop at Cape Greco. The regular Napa Queen Booze Cruise (napaqueen.com) and Fantasy Boat Party also accommodate groups well. Budget €40–65 per person depending on the format — verify current pricing before booking.

2. VIP table on the big club night. Typically the last night of the trip. Castle Club VIP on a Saturday — the full experience: priority entry, a reserved table zone, waitress service. Budget €50–80 per person including entry. This is the group memory that most people come back from describing.

3. Pool party afternoon. Napa Mermaid Hotel runs the best-established Saturday pool parties (14:00–20:00) with unlimited drinks included in the day pass. For a group, this is the most natural daytime anchor event — everyone in one place, no coordination required. Budget €30–45 per person; verify current pricing with the hotel.

4. Quad bike safari to Cape Greco. Classic Ayia Napa group activity. Half-day hire, ride out through the national park to the sea caves and Blue Lagoon, swim stop, ride back. Groups of all ability levels — the terrain is manageable. Budget approximately €25–40 per person for the half-day hire; verify current rates with operators on Makarios Avenue or near the harbour.

Themed Nights

Hen nights that work in Ayia Napa:

  • All-white outfits — the contrast against dark clubs is striking and very photographable
  • Neon or UV (matches the Circus UV night format exactly)
  • Decades night with a committed theme

Stag nights:

  • Matching training gear or sports kit — football shirts are technically banned at most venues, but matching training tops often pass
  • Fancy dress that photographs well without being the kind of costume that causes problems at club doors — avoid anything too bulky or anything that reads as offensive. Door staff at Castle Club exercise discretion and can refuse entry.

Budget Planning

Per person, 5-night trip in August from the UK:

Item Cost range
Flights (return) £80–200
Accommodation (villa, per person for the week) £70–120
Airport transfer (private, shared among group) £12–20
Boat party €40–65
VIP table (big club night) €50–80
Pool party day pass €30–45
Quad bike activity €25–40
Food and drinks per night (5 nights) €200–350 total
Realistic total £550–950 per person

Budget version (June or September, no VIP table, self-catering food): closer to £400–600 per person. The experience is still excellent — the nightlife in June is fully operational and the weather and sea are identical.

What the Organiser Actually Needs to Handle

The budget conversation — have it early. Agree a shared budget figure for the group-organised elements (villa, VIP table, boat party). Personal spending is personal. Do not assume everyone has the same budget as you.

WhatsApp group management. Make decisions and inform the group — don't run a democracy on every detail or the planning conversation will swallow three months. Appoint yourself the decision-maker, communicate clearly, and ask the group to confirm attendance rather than opinion.

Contingencies. What happens if someone misses the boat departure because they slept in? What is the plan if it rains during the quad bike day (unlikely but possible)? Think through the obvious failure modes in advance.

One final thing: the organiser deserves credit. The group generally acknowledges this better if you address it before the trip rather than hoping for it afterwards.
