Since Route 711 doesn't serve the airport directly, you have three ways to connect:

A taxi from Larnaca Airport to Larnaca Bus Station (OSEA Intercity Terminal, Emmanuel Roïdis Street, near the old port area) takes approximately 15–20 minutes and costs around €15–20. From the bus station you board Route 711 directly to Ayia Napa.

Total journey time airport to Ayia Napa: Approximately 2–2.5 hours including the taxi leg and any waiting time for the bus.

Cost: €15–20 taxi + bus fare = roughly €20–25 total per person.

This is only worthwhile for solo travellers who are already comfortable navigating the Larnaca bus station and have time flexibility. For most people, a direct shared shuttle is simpler and barely more expensive.

Kapnos Airport Shuttle (kapnosairportshuttle.com) runs a scheduled fixed-departure service directly from Larnaca Airport to Ayia Napa. Cost is around €14–16 per person. This is the cleanest budget option if your arrival time aligns with a scheduled Kapnos departure — no taxi leg, no bus station navigation, direct to the resort.

Check the Kapnos timetable before booking: not all arrival times are covered, particularly late at night.

A pre-booked shared transfer goes door-to-hotel from the airport with no connections. Cost is approximately €10–18 per person depending on the operator and group size. Works for any Ayia Napa hotel, regardless of whether it's on the Kapnos route. The most straightforward option for most first-time visitors.

If you're already in Larnaca — staying overnight after arriving on a morning flight, visiting from another part of Cyprus, or arriving by ferry from the western ports — Route 711 is a straightforward and affordable connection.

What the journey is like: The route leaves Larnaca, runs along the Dhekelia road past the British Sovereign Base Area fence line, then through the outskirts of Paralimni before entering Ayia Napa from the north. The journey is mostly flat and follows good roads — comfortable, unremarkable, and cheap.

The bus terminates at Ayia Napa Bus Station, near the junction of Makariou and Nissi Avenue — roughly central in the resort.

The bus station itself is basic — a covered stop area rather than a full terminal. In peak season there are taxis available outside; in shoulder season you may need to call or app a taxi.

Allow at least 3 hours before your flight to cover the bus journey, the Larnaca taxi connection, and airport check-in. Larnaca Airport security can be slow during peak season.

Early-morning flights: If your departure is before 07:00–08:00, there may be no bus operating at the relevant time.
