Most beach bars in Ayia Napa make a single choice: quiet sunbed spot or party venue. Isola, positioned directly on the sand at Nissi Beach, does both — and the transition between them is the most interesting thing about it. Arrive at 09:30 and it is a calm breakfast-and-swim base with good coffee and a kitchen producing food that is well above the standard beach bar level. Come back at 17:00 and a DJ is playing, the cocktail crowd has arrived, and the sunset atmosphere is the best on Nissi Beach.
The venue is run in partnership with Nissi Beach Resort and occupies the central section of the beach, directly in front of the hotel.

Isola sits on the central section of Nissi Beach, directly in front of Nissi Beach Resort. The easiest access route from central Ayia Napa is along Nissi Avenue west — the beach is 3km from the main square (Plateia Seferi), about 8–10 minutes by taxi (€5–8) or 35–40 minutes on foot.
On your way in, look for Kyma Concept Store by Nissi Beach Resort — a boutique connected to the Isola group, good for picking up beachwear before settling in for the day.
There is car parking on the hill above Nissi Beach, but it fills by 09:30–10:00 in July and August. The beach bus (Route 101) stops near the main beach access for €1.50 each way — verify the current timetable before travelling.
Isola operates its own sunbed section on the beach, reserved for customers and managed separately from the main Nissi Beach sunbed operators.
Sunbed hire: Included with a minimum spend at the bar (typically €15–20 per person per day) or available as a standalone hire (€10–15 per bed). The minimum spend goes against your food and drink tab — not an additional charge.
Best spots: The front-row beds closest to the water fill first, typically by 10:00 in peak season. The raised deck area directly behind is actually a better viewing position for the afternoon DJ sets and has faster bar access. If the beach beds are gone, the deck is the better alternative.
Families: Fine during the day and welcoming of children. The atmosphere shifts from family-appropriate to adult-oriented from around 17:00 onwards when the DJ starts and the cocktail crowd arrives.
The kitchen is run by a Chef de Cuisine who sources ingredients locally — the food quality is noticeably above the standard beach bar offering, and the menu design is more thoughtful than what is standard on Nissi Beach.

Understanding how Isola changes through the day is the key to getting the most out of it:
Price range: €10–18 for food dishes; €9–14 for cocktails; €4–6 for beer and soft drinks.
Reservations: Walk-in for beach sunbeds (arrive early in peak season). Table reservations are useful for evening dining after 19:00 — the dinner menu and the atmosphere attract people specifically, and the best tables fill up.
Music: Background beats until approximately 17:00, then DJ sets through sunset and into the early evening.
Dress code: Beachwear is standard all day. After dark, a light cover-up is expected at the table — it is not a strict dress code but the environment shifts accordingly.
Photography: The setup is designed to photograph well, particularly at sunset with the water as a backdrop. The golden hour from 17:30–19:00 in July–August is when Isola is at its most photogenic.
The day trip approach: Arrive at 09:30 to secure a front-row sunbed. Spend the morning swimming and eating a slow breakfast. Order the prawn saganaki and a burrata salad for lunch. Stay through the DJ sunset sets with a frozen margarita. Leave by 19:00.
The evening approach: Skip the beach crowds entirely. Arrive at 17:00 when the day-trippers are leaving and the cocktail atmosphere is starting. Get a deck table, order drinks through the sunset, and stay for the evening menu. The Beef Cheeks Pastitsio justifies this version on its own.

What to Order
- Burrata and heirloom tomato salad — the signature dish. The combination of ripe local tomatoes and creamy burrata works particularly well after a salty swim
- Halloumi bites — crispy outside, soft inside; the essential beach bar starter in Cyprus
- Prawn saganaki — prawns in a spiced tomato sauce, good shared with bread
- Grilled sea bream — simple, fresh, one of the better fish dishes on this stretch of beach
- Club sandwich — the reliable fuel option between swims
- Beef Cheeks Pastitsio — Isola's signature evening dish: slow-braised beef cheeks in a pastitsio bake. Available on the dinner menu only. This is the one dish that separates Isola's evening kitchen from every other beach bar on Nissi Beach. Worth planning your day around if you are staying for dinner.
- The evening menu runs as shared Mediterranean plates — the format works well for groups of 2–4 ordering across several dishes.
- Aperol Spritz — the standard order and genuinely good at Isola's beach setting (€9–12)
- Frozen margarita — best ordered between noon and 15:00 when the sun is at its worst
- Freddo espresso — Greek-style iced espresso, essential if you arrive early morning
- Local Keo beer — cheapest reliable option (€4–5)
