Ayia Napa Pool Parties — Which Hotels & Events Are Worth It (2026)

The best pool parties in Ayia Napa — hotel day passes, dedicated pool events, and which ones actually deliver.

Pool parties in Ayia Napa are not a marketing phrase. The better ones are proper daytime events — dedicated DJ line-ups, drink packages, and crowds of several hundred people around a hotel pool. They sit in the gap between beach morning and club night, and done right they are one of the best parts of the trip.

Done wrong, they are an overpriced afternoon around a mediocre hotel pool with a Spotify playlist and a bar that runs out of ice. Here is how to tell them apart before you hand over €30.

Napa Mermaid Hotel runs the most established and most consistent pool party programme in Ayia Napa. Their Saturday afternoon sessions — typically running 14:00 to 20:00 — attract 400–600 people and have built a genuine reputation over several seasons.

Location: Napa Mermaid Hotel, within walking distance of the strip on Makarios Avenue. Ask locally if you need the exact address — it is well-known.

What to expect: Club-grade sound system, a proper DJ playing a 4–5 hour set (not background music), and an unlimited drinks package included in the day pass price.

Day pass price: Typically €30–45 including unlimited drinks — verify current 2026 pricing with the hotel directly or via their social channels. The drinks package alone makes this competitive with what you'd spend at a club bar for an equivalent evening.

Crowd: Primarily 20–30 age bracket, mixed nationalities, party-first but not aggressive. The setting — a large outdoor pool with good sun exposure through the afternoon — is genuinely well-designed for the format.

Book ahead for Saturday sessions in July and August. Napa Mermaid pool party dates sell out. Walk-in availability is rare in peak season — reserve at least a week in advance.

Nissi Beach Resort occasionally opens its pool and beach area for ticketed events. These don't run on a fixed weekly schedule like Napa Mermaid — they're event-specific — but when they happen, the setting is exceptional. The resort sits directly adjacent to Nissi Beach, which means the backdrop to a pool party here is one of the most photographed beaches in the Mediterranean.

What to do: Follow Nissi Beach Resort on Instagram for current event announcements. Dates are typically confirmed 2–3 weeks in advance.

These events sell out quickly when announced. Set a reminder if you see a date that fits your trip.

Paramount Hotel runs daytime pool sessions on Wednesdays and Fridays through peak season. The scale is smaller than Napa Mermaid — more intimate, less production — but the price reflects that.

Day pass: Typically €20–25. Good option if you want to test the pool party format without committing €40 to a bigger event.

What you get: Sunbed access, use of the pool, a DJ set, and drink options at bar prices (not all-inclusive at this price point). Verify current inclusions with the hotel before booking.

Most 4-star hotels in Ayia Napa offer day passes to non-guests that include pool access, a sunbed, and a bar. This is different from a ticketed pool party event — it's quieter, there's no DJ production, and the focus is a comfortable afternoon swim rather than a daytime club experience.

Typical prices:

Hotels worth considering for a day pass: Adams Beach Hotel (excellent pool facilities, near Nissi Beach) and Sea Caves Hotel both offer day passes and have notably well-maintained pools. Verify availability and current pricing directly with the hotel — day pass policies vary.

Signs of a good event:

Red flags:

The natural structure that works best: beach in the morning → pool party early afternoon → dinner → club night. A pool party that runs 14:00–20:00 leaves you time to shower, change, eat, and reach the strip by midnight without any dead time.

The Napa Mermaid Saturday session ends at 20:00 — two hours to dinner, then a full evening ahead. It's the logical architecture of a peak-season Ayia Napa day.

Some people find they don't need the club night after a six-hour pool party. That is also a valid choice.

Leave at the hotel: valuables, full-size bags, anything you'd be distressed to lose.

Related but different formats. Pool parties use the hotel pool as the venue — you can swim, sit on the edge, get in and out whenever you want. The atmosphere is social and relatively relaxed even at the bigger events.

Foam parties are a different experience entirely: large quantities of foam deployed into a crowd, usually in an outdoor club space, not a pool. The atmosphere is more chaotic. You will be completely covered in foam. Bring a change of clothes you don't care about. Both are worth doing at least once in Ayia Napa.

Ayia Napa Pool Parties — Which Hotels & Events Are Worth It (2026)

The Best Pool Parties in Ayia Napa

Napa Mermaid Hotel — The Benchmark

Nissi Beach Resort — Best Setting, Occasional Events

Paramount Hotel — Smaller, Cheaper, Good for First-Timers

Hotel Day Passes (Without a Pool Party Event)

  • Standard 3-star pool: €12–20 (sunbed + towel included)
  • 4-star pool with bar: €20–35 (usually includes a drink credit)

What Separates a Good Pool Party from a Disappointing One

  • Named DJ on the promotional material with a verifiable booking history
  • Pre-announced schedule (not "DJs TBC")
  • Day pass price in the €30+ range (reflects investment in the experience)
  • Promoted through official hotel channels, not exclusively via strip reps
  • Entry price under €15 for a "pool party" (suggests minimal production)
  • "DJ TBC" on any promotional material
  • Start time listed as 3pm or later (the good ones start at 1–2pm)
  • Ticket sold exclusively by commission-based strip reps with on-the-spot discounts

How to Fit a Pool Party Into Your Day

What to Bring

  • Two sets of swimwear — one for the pool, one dry set for when you move on
  • Towel — some events provide one, others don't. Check in advance.
  • Cash — pool bars in Ayia Napa are frequently cash-only even in 2026. Bring €30–50 in small notes.
  • Waterproof phone case — useful if you want to document the afternoon
  • Flip-flops — pool decking in August sun is genuinely hot
  • Light cover-up — for moving between pool and bar areas
  • Sunscreen, and reapply every 90 minutes — in and out of water strips it faster than the beach

Pool Parties vs. Foam Parties
