Główny Plac
The square (Plateia Seferi) is the geographical and social centre of Ayia Napa. It's where the main cluster of bars are, where the reps operate, and where the strip begins. The square itself isn't a club — it's open-air bars, live music venues, and restaurants surrounding a central fountain area.
Several bars and smaller clubs open directly onto or just off the square, catering to a slightly older crowd with chart music and RnB. Entry is typically €10–15 and these venues run until about 4am — they're a good warm-up before the bigger clubs later in the night.
Napa Plaza is on the north side of the square and is the best meeting point in Ayia Napa — visible from everywhere, well-lit, and near transport. Tell your group to meet at Napa Plaza and you'll find each other.
Dzielnica Castle Club
Walking south from the square for about 400 metrów brings you to the cluster of venues anchored by Castle Club — the largest nightclub on the island (capacity around 4,000). Circus is 200 metrów further along the same road, and Bedrock Inn sits behind them both.
This is the main destination for serious clubbing — larger venues, better production, more significant guest DJ bookings, and the longest opening hours (Castle Club regularly runs until 7am). The walk from the square takes 8–10 minutes on foot and there are usually taxis and the hop-on bus operating between the two areas from midnight onwards.
Entry to the Castle Club district venues: €15–25 depending on the night and whether you've pre-booked.
Nissi Avenue
Nissi Avenue runs west from the square toward Nissi Beach, about 3km in total. The avenue is lined with hotels, bars, and some of the most popular beach clubs. Aqua Beach Club sits roughly halfway along and is the best open-air venue in the area — beachside, excellent sound, and a crowd that tends to be in the 22–30 age bracket.
Venues on Nissi Avenue generally start earlier (10pm rather than midnight) and close earlier too (3–4am). They work well as a first stop before heading to the Castle Club area for the later part of the night.
Port
The harbour area (about 10 minutes south of the square on foot) is where the boat-party operators are based and where the restaurant scene is stronger. At night it's quieter than the square and Nissi, with a few good bars but no significant clubs. Worth knowing for dinner — Vassos Fish Harbour is the best seafood restaurant in town and is right on the waterfront.

Autobus hop-on: A tourist bus runs a circuit of the main venues from midnight to 5am in peak season. €3 per trip, unlimited rides on a wristband. Useful for getting from the square to Castle Club without the walk.
Kierunek przemieszczania się tłumu: The crowd typically moves from the square outward to the bigger clubs as the night progresses. Arrive at the square at 11pm, hit Nissi Avenue by midnight, and be at Castle Club for 1–2am when the headliner plays.
Gdzie zjeść późno: The souvlaki spots just off the square are open until 3am and do the best post-club food on the strip. The 24-hour bakery on Makarios Avenue is the late-night secret.
Taksówki: The main taxi rank is on the north side of the square. Taxis to the hotel strip on Nissi Avenue cost €5–8. Negotiate before you get in — meters are rarely used for short tourist trips.
The Full Night Route
A typical excellent Ayia Napa night looks like this:
- 8pm: Dinner at a harbour restaurant
- 10pm: Pre-drinks at the hotel or apartment (supermarket bottles save €30+)
- 11pm: Start at a bar on the square — warm up, find your feet
- 12:30am: Head to Nissi Avenue or Circus depending on mood
- 2am: Castle Club for the headline DJ set
- 5–7am: After-party or breakfast at the 24-hour bakery
That's a 10-hour night. Pace yourself accordingly.
